From Monday, October 28, regular flights from Warsaw to Larnaca Airport, operated by LOT Polish Airlines, have resumed.
LOT Airlines said in a statement that “the first flight to Larnaca took off on October 28 at 10:40 am from Warsaw Chopin Airport. Polish airline LOT has resumed regular flights between Warsaw and Larnaca.”
The solemn ceremony held in honor of this important event at Frederic Chopin Airport was attended by Andrzej Ilkow, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Polish Airports (Polskie Porty Lotnicze), and Robert Ludera, Director of the Polish Airlines LOT Communications Network Office. The first flight lasted 3.5 hours.
According to the airline, these flights on the WAW-LCA route will operate four times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during the winter season. The frequency of flights will increase to six times a week, except Tuesdays, during the summer season.
“We are well aware of the attractiveness of this direction. Data from the Cyprus Statistical Service shows that in 2023, Poland was the third largest market in terms of the number of tourists visiting Cyprus,” noted Robert Ludera.
