AKEL's proposal for a law on the taxation of banks' surplus profits is on the scales of the Plenary of the Parliament, with the first thing to be clarified is whether it will finally be discussed and put to a vote or not.
The issue of the postponement was raised during the leaders' meeting that preceded it. This, however, is something that will become clear once the session begins, where the parties will position themselves, either for or against the postponement.
The latest information states that the debate will take place normally and the law proposal will be put to a vote, as DISY ultimately disagrees with the postponement.
