The impeachment of the President of the Republic was unanimously accepted, regarding the Law on the Second Amendment of the Constitution of 2022 and the Law on the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of 2022, with the object of enshrining as an independent right, the right of everyone to a safe, clean , healthy and sustainable environment. In fact, the Plenary of the Parliament once again put the matter to a vote, with 46 MPs out of the 53 present, voting in favor.

Taking the floor, the chairman of the Legal Committee and DISY's parliamentary representative, Nikos Tornaritiss, pointed out that "the Legal Committee had the opportunity to examine the impeachment. For his part, the independent MP Andreas Themistokleous, who was one of the MPs who had stated that he did not vote in favor of the proposed law, noted in his statement that "I have the impression that two votes should be held. The acceptance of the impeachment does not necessarily constitute a vote in favor of the Constitutional amendment".

Taking the floor again, the independent MP, Andreas Themistokleous, noted that "this is the first time we have a constitutional impasse. A law is not referred to in whole or in part. Remanded for procedural reasons. I accept the impeachment, but I'm not going to vote for the constitutional change, it's simple."
The President of the Parliament informed the MPs that there is not going to be any discussion on the issue and then gave a mandate for a vote. The referral of the law by the President of the Republic was unanimously accepted, while regarding the essence of the proposed law, of the 53 present, 46 voted for, 5 against, there were 0 abstentions, while two did not vote.
