On Saturday morning, August 31, it became known that a prisoner had escaped from the Athalassa Psychiatric Hospital.
The fugitive was a 40-year-old man named Tolka Tongel, who was serving a 30-month sentence for burglary and was temporarily undergoing treatment.
According to reports, the escape was recorded at 11 am, but the exact time remains unknown. The prisoner was in the hospital under the guard of prison guards, but for reasons still unknown he managed to escape.
