On Thursday, August 29, in Pervolia in the Larnaca area, a huge dead turtle and several fish washed up on the shore from the sea.
Eyewitnesses claim that this phenomenon was caused by explosions at sea. In particular, the resulting shock wave put unsuspecting fish, turtles and possibly other marine life in danger. Environment Commissioner Antonia Teodosiou was informed of the incident and promised to look into it and find the culprits.
