According to reports, tremors were felt in Limassol and Paphos on the night of 28-29 September.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center confirmed the earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, which occurred at 2:18 am. The epicenter is located 21 kilometers southeast of Paphos, 10 kilometers from Turkey.
Reports of tremors came from different areas, and residents were especially active in sharing their feelings on social networks. Many described a mild but noticeable shaking that lasted a few seconds.
Emergency services continue to monitor the situation, and seismologists remind that such earthquakes are not uncommon in the Cyprus region.
