In Nicosia, dogs bit a 64-year-old woman

On Monday, August 25, in the area of Agia, Ioannie Maluntas (Nicosia), a serious incident took place: a 64-year-old employee of the waste processing enterprise suffered from an attack by four dogs.

According to the police, at about 16:30, the woman graduated from the work shift and, as usual, opened the cage, which contained animals. Every day, dogs are produced in the courtyard, where they spend the night to protect the territory. However, this time everything did not go according to plan: for so far reasons, the animals suddenly attacked a woman.

Dogs bit her legs, causing multiple injuries. Colleagues promptly called an ambulance, and the victim was taken to Nicosia General Hospital. Doctors conducted the operation and sewn deep wounds. According to doctors, nothing threatens her life, but the restoration process will take time.

Law enforcement agencies conduct an investigation to find out the circumstances of the incident and the causes of aggressive behavior of animals. Verses are considered related to both the possible stress of dogs and a violation of the conditions of their content.

This case again raises the issue of the safety of the maintenance of service and guard dogs at production facilities. Experts note that even familiar animals can lead themselves unpredictably if the rules of care and control are not respected.
