On the evening of December 1, a Syrian opposition march took place along the Molos embankment in Limassol.
The young people carried Syrian independence flags, which were used during the period of the Syrian Republic until the Ba'athist coup in 1963, and subsequently became a symbol of the opposition. This flag is actively used by protesters, and has been officially adopted by the Syrian National Coalition and the Free Syrian Army. Today this flag is actively used by the rebels who managed to capture Aleppo.
