On the night of November 27, in the Mutagiakka area of Limassol, attackers burned four luxury cars. This arson may be connected to the murder of Stavros Demosthenus.
All four burned cars belonged to a foreign businessman associated with the previously killed Stavros Demosthenous. The source claims that the businessman previously gave detailed testimony about the murder of Demosthenus, and the arson could be a “short but clear message” or, more precisely, a threat addressed specifically to him.
The investigation is considering a possible connection between the arson and the criminal case of murder. It is expected that the businessman and his relatives, who own two of the burned cars, will be questioned again.
The fire broke out around midnight in a private outdoor parking lot in the Mutagiakka area where vehicles were parked. According to the investigation, eyewitness testimony confirms that the criminal came to the scene on foot and purposefully set the fire.
The area of the incident remains cordoned off. At dawn, criminologists and police will begin new, more thorough checks.
