69-year-old resident of the village of Paramita in Limassol, Sotiris Chrysanthou, died as a result of falling from the roof of his house. The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening, September 24, when a man was trimming tree branches and is believed to have lost his balance.
A neighbor noticed the incident and called an ambulance, but the victim died on the way to the hospital. Police were informed of the incident around 7 pm and began an investigation to rule out the possibility of murder or other emergency.
Evidence was collected at the scene and CCTV footage will also be analyzed. The cause of death is expected to be determined during a scheduled autopsy.
