In Limassol, a man hit a policeman with a shovel!

The 38-year-old man was detained early in the morning on Thursday, April 10, in Limassol after, allegedly, he attacked police officers with a metal shovel, injuring one of them.

The incident occurred at about one in the morning. According to the report received from the operator of the mobile camera, during the road check, one of the drivers created his work. A patrol group was directed to the place.

Upon arrival, the police found a 38-year-old man in a car. As soon as he noticed the approach of the employees, he immediately got out of the car armed with a metal shovel, and began to shout insults to them. Suddenly he attacked one of the police officers and struck his leg, causing an injury.

The offender was immediately neutralized and arrested on the spot. Now he is in custody, a criminal case under several articles was instituted against him, including an attack on a representative of the authorities and causing bodily harm.

The injured police officer was provided with medical assistance. Nothing threatens his life. The investigation continues.
