On Saturday evening, October 5, in Limassol on Kato Polemidia Street at about 23:30, a group of 15 people attacked two foreign citizens, beat them and robbed them. The criminals then fled the scene.
The victims were taken to the Limassol General Hospital, where they received the necessary medical care. One of them was diagnosed with a broken nose, and the other with numerous bruises and abrasions. One of the victims was left in the hospital for further observation, the other was discharged immediately after the examination.
According to the victims, the attackers stole 300 euros and a mobile phone from them. Police have already detained two suspects, aged 19 and 21, to assist in the investigation. Charges have been brought against them of robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime, infliction of grievous bodily harm, and inciting ethnic hatred.
