A 14 -year -old man in Brazil found a tragic death when he injected himself with a liquid, in which he had mixed water with a dead butterfly.
The country's authorities are looking for, even if what Davi Nunes Moreira did was the result of an online challenge.
The minor began vomiting, and then collapsed after injection with the strange liquid on his leg.
Initially the boy told his father that he had hit while playing, but when the symptoms began to become more intense he revealed what he had done. His father, who found the syringe his son had used under his bed, transported him to the Planet's hospital.
The child's state of health, however, was so bad that it was considered necessary to be transferred to another - larger - hospital, but where doctors also failed to keep him alive.
His death is probably attributed to the toxins that existed in the liquid from the dead butterfly, resulting in his body being a blackout as he fell into septic shock.
A specialist in butterflies and director of the Museum of Zoology at the University of Sao Paulo explained that the impact of butterfly toxicity on the human body has not been studied enough. As he typically said, "butterflies have a complex biological system and the fluids in their bodies have not been sufficiently studied and especially in relation to the toxicity they may have for the human body."
