Wednesday 12/11, the weather – Wednesday, 12/11, the weather

On Wednesday, the weather will initially be partly cloudy in most areas, while locally increased cloudiness mainly in the western-southwestern 1/3 of the island may give isolated rains. In the afternoon and afternoon, locally increased clouds will develop in the mountains/semi-mountains and in the interior, and the occurrence of isolated rain/storms is expected, while isolated rain is not excluded in the western/northwestern parts of the island. Winds will initially blow at a variable intensity of 1-2 Beaufort, to gradually turn to southwest to southeast at an intensity of 2-4 Beaufort. The temperature will fluctuate around 2-4 degrees Celsius above the normal levels for the season and will rise to around 24 to 27 degrees Celsius in the interior low-lying parts of the island and on the coasts and around 12 degrees Celsius in Chionistra.

On Wednesday night, the weather will be partly cloudy in most areas, however at times increased cloud mainly on the north, west and south-west coasts is expected to give isolated showers/thunderstorms. The winds will blow downwind at an intensity of 1-2 Beaufort. The temperature will be slightly above normal levels for the season and will drop to around 13C inland, around 14 to 16C on the coast and around 5C in Chionistra.

Wednesday 12/11: A partly cloudy and dry start for most with thicker clouds expected over the western – southwestern 1/3 of the island with a few showers possible. Clouds are expected to develop during mid-day and afternoon hours mainly over the mountains and central plain with isolated showers/thunderstorms expected. The risk for the odd shower over western – northwestern parts of the island cannot be ruled out. Winds light and variable in the morning 1-2 Bft will gradually strengthen and shift from northwestern to southwestern directions 3-4 Bft later in the day, with gusts reaching over the southern coasts up to 5 Bft during the afternoon. Maximum temperatures 2-4 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average and ranging from around 24-27°C over the central plain and coastal areas and around 12°C over the highest peaks of Troodos.

Wednesday Night 12/11: Mainly clear skies for most but increasing clouds over the northern, western and southwestern coastal areas will give a few isolated showers/thunderstorms. Light katabatic winds 1-2 Bft. Minimum temperatures slightly above the seasonal average and dropping to around 13°C over the central plain, 14-16°C for coastal areas and around 5°C over the highest peaks of Troodos.
