A creative workshop for adults at the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia seeks to gather women of all ages for an inter-generational morning. The aim of the Through Clothes: Women’s Stories from Nicosia workshop is to discover the tales of the city through treasured garments from the 1960s and 1970s in the Museum’s Clothing Collection.
Daughters, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and every woman who wishes to join the event on May 11 will use the museum’s exhibits as a springboard to share personal experiences, linking the past with the present.
Facilitated by actress and educator Natalia Panagiotou, the participants will take part in role play and dramatisation activities to bring stories to life in a playful and interactive way. The intergenerational morning, held from 11am to 12.30pm and in Greek is not only free to attend but also seeks to offer creative self-expression whilst strengthening connections across generations and the wider community.
