POLICE REPORTER #Nicosia #Fire
A person was taken to the Nicosia General Hospital with burns on his hand, after a fire broke out on the terrace of an apartment on the second floor of an old abandoned house on Lefkonos Street in Nicosia.
As reported by the press representative of the Fire Department, Andreas Kettis, the fire broke out in old furniture/objects and they responded with two fire engines. The interior of two rooms was affected by the fire, while to extinguish it, members of the Fire Department used breathing apparatus with pipe installations.
A person, probably homeless who seems to have been using the space together with other people for accommodation, suffered burns on his hands and was taken by the Ambulance Service to the Nicosia General Hospital TAEP.
The causes will be investigated later in cooperation with the Police.
