The 23-year-old midfielder of Cyprus Arisa and the Finnish national team Adam Markiev spoke in an interview about his football family, fate and career prospects.
The father of Adam, Umar Markiyev, a football player and coach known in Ingushetia, and today works with Angouss in the second Russian division. In addition, the football family has rich experience in Finland. Markievs moved to this country when Adam was seven years old, in the same place he studied at the Yaro school (Pietarsaari). Adam has dual citizenship - Finland and Russia.
The first years of Adam’s professional career took place in Finland and Latvia, then the young midfielder moved to Cyprus Aris. From his youth, he was involved in various teams in his age, and the other day he first received an invitation to the first Finnish national team.
“How many languages have you learned over the years, Adam?” I say in five languages. Relatives - Russian and Ingush. We moved, and there are three new ones at once: Finnish - state, Swedish - because it is common in Pietarsari, as well as mandatory English.
- What language has become the main one? In what language do you think and reflect? ”Finnish dominates. But the switch is constantly working. In Cyprus, English is more often used, and in training “Arisa” it is the main one. With Kokorin - of course, we communicate in Russian. On the field, when there is a “hint” and interaction with Sasha, the Russian automatically turns on.
-Does Kokorin copes with the role of an uncle-mentor?-Ha ha! What uncle? He is not a veteran! At the same time "on experience." Inside the team we can see all the current indicators from the sensors. Kokorin "Fizukha" is excellent. He is always among the best. Sasha has not only good genes, but also high professionalism.
- In Russia, there is such an expression about his Cyprus stage of his career: “Sasha Kaifi.” - Probably, they often see his smile in broadcasts or in the photo. The sun shines brightly, warm, Sasha is positive, so such a picture is created. But in any football team different situations happen. Sometimes you need a serious conversation. And you need the advice of the elders. Sasha will always tell you.
- In Russia, Kokorin received the nickname of Kokora. Often I hear from Russian football players: say hello to Cocor. And in "Arisa" who is he? - Coco. Easy and briefly for "telling."
- In the Finnish Pietarsari, another football family lives, Eremenko. - People close to us! And a big school for me. Father worked with Alexei Eremenko Sr. And I often trained with his sons. And Eremenko Sr. even conducted individual training with me.
- What kind of town - Pietarsaari? - Small, everyone knows each other. It turns out such a family city, where people are always aware of the news, together celebrate something, note. And they love football in the city. From our windows - a panorama to the stadium. You go out onto the balcony - you admire the view of the football field. I spent a lot of time on it. And the whole family of Eremenko there are famous residents. Who knows us and Roma Eremenko well, it notices: Oh, you have the same finites, the same solutions! This is true, I adopted a lot from Roma.
- Not so long ago we talked with the head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin. He remembered the novel by Eremenko (along with Brazilian Alex) as a football player of the most outstanding qualities. Almost a genius. - It is! The novel has some kind of unearthly understanding of football. On the field, he knows everything in terms of technology and foresees everything. Roma is 38 years old, and he is in perfect order. Continues to perform in the Championship of Finland. They wanted to call him to the national team not so long ago. But injury prevented. If it weren’t for injuries, he would now play for the national team, I say exactly.

But from an early age, I sincerely loved football, sought, tried, I liked to train under the leadership of my father. Yes, there were resentment, failures. I even cried.
- The matches of "Arisa" are broadcast in VK with a commentator in Russian. Do relatives do not miss? - Father watches all matches. As soon as I leave the locker room - a call and discussion. Father fixes everything during the match and gives me a frank analysis. As a rule, I agree with the conclusions of my father sincerely. But not always. I don’t want to argue. - “Angoussh” (Nazran) that your father is now trained, is the oldest brand. But for many years the club on the periphery of Russian football. - Ingush love football very much. And I believe that our region is football! For us, the best time - when Angousse rose to the first division. The raised mood had everyone. Could play at a higher level now. - By the way, how was the transition from the Finnish championship to Latvian? - Alexey Borisovich Eremenko worked in Spartak (Jurmala). He invited. And then there was RFSh. Honestly - I got a high from the country, from the Latvian championship, from the game itself. Yes, there are five high -level clubs, the rest of the teams are noticeably inferior. There is no reputation as a strong championship, and he is probably inferior to Cyprus. But somehow it turned out successfully that in the Russian Federation we received development and played pleasure. We went out into the group stage of the Europa League, and played with dignity with the grads.
- The general director of “Arisa” Pavel Gognidze, commenting on your transition from the RFS, was concise: “Adam was the best there.” And he was not talking about the RFS, but about the championship of Latvia as a whole. - Really? It is flattered to hear this. But I will say this: in the RFS I got very good teammates. A close -knit brigade! When the team is on the courage, then all are the best.
-Your transition to the Cyprus Championship is a springboard for future growth and the transition to the Top League? Or have you already ended up in a European top? “Paphos” entered the Champions League group, which means that “Aris” will be able to. Cyprus is stronger than all! - The reputation in Europe is growing, this is a fact. There are more points in the piggy bank. Honestly, when I went to Aris, I did not know the true level of the Cyprus championship. Many underestimate it. The fact that Paphos was in the Champions League group is not a sensation. They went out in the case. This is the level of Paphos. In that championship we competed with Paphos to the last rounds. But in a decisive match they lost to him.
“Everything is on the case?” - I think “pathos” was objectively stronger. And rightly became the champion. They guessed with the selection of legionnaires from Latin America. And in general, the team was not mistaken with the construction of the team. We walked that season exactly, without injuries and downs. It seemed that all these guys have been playing together for more than a year. Compared to us, they acted more recruited.
A new season has started in Cyprus, we will compete, beat. There are several competitors, not only Paphos. Arisa has an excellent composition, all the possibilities. We must re -enter this struggle.
My personal prospects? Life will show. Still, in my aspirations-a top championary. I like the Bundesliga. My style of play and skills, in sensations, is closer to Germany. For this purpose, you have to work a lot. Play stable and successfully, constantly add. In Arisa, I have to take a step forward.
- “Aris” could not break into the group stage of European competitions. But “Aris” on the field “breathed” deeper than Aek. This was even a benefit, because we were underestimated when comparing the AEK brand, and he is not a newcomer in Europe. Then everyone admitted that we played on an equal footing. We were told that there were a lot of sympathetic in Greece itself - so we surprised them against the background of Aek. In the response game it was necessary to squeeze Ak. But they went through experience. We will have more this experience.
- What memories remained from working with Alexei Shpilevsky? - a very interesting experience. In Finland, we were brought up as part of a more defensive strategy. - In summer Cyprus weather, Radkov does not tolerate classes for extreme time - a very late evening or a very early morning. The heat is tolerant? - We train on the field when the sun comes in. This is fine. But I immediately sweat abundantly, heat up. To be honest, I have not yet been used to such a temperature. They say that if a year to live in Cyprus, then the body gets used to it, and the summer is easily tolerated.
I love the beach and the sea. When friends and relatives come, then everyone has a lot of joy about this. They like to swim and sunbathe. From home to the sea for about 15 minutes on foot. But for me, the sea is not entertainment. Good as a recovery. Especially after the match or hard training. But two or three days before the match, swimming in salt water should no longer.
