On January 19, early in the morning in Limassol, another armed attack on Kiosk took place.
The incident occurred on Spiros Avenue to Kiprian in the Kolonaki area. Two men in hoods broke into the room and, threatening the employee with a wrench, forced him to transfer the cash desk with money worth more than 900 euros. After that, the criminals disappeared in an unknown direction.
Police officers immediately arrived at the scene. The surveillance cameras installed in Kiosk recorded each movement of criminals.
According to the authorities, the attackers can be involved in a similar crime, perfect last Saturday in the area of the agios Afanasios. Then two men in hoods, threatening a metal pipe, forced the Indian worker to give them daytime revenue, after which they disappeared.
The police consider the likelihood that the same persons are behind both crimes. The coincidence of the appearance of the attackers, the method of action and the selected objects of the crime confirms this hypothesis.
It is known that robbers choose the late clocks and attack kiosks with minimal safety measures, avoiding places with controlled entrances. The authorities urge the owners of such institutions to be extremely careful and strengthen protection measures.
