Paul Kontidis supports his athletes and… #Towardsla

Following the success of #Towardstokyo and #Towardsparis programs, our Olympian Pavlos Kontidis presented the third round of the sports responsibility program under the name #Towardsla.

The presentation took place at an official dinner in Limassol on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Speaker of the House Mrs Annita Dimitriou and the athletic leadership of the place. Pavlos Kontidis' generous effort is supported by the Cyprus Sport Organization, with CMO President Yiannis Ioannou, Vice President Kalli Hadjiosif and the Board of Directors to attend the event.

The program aims to support athletes ahead of the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028. Already the auctions at the event raised more than 100,000 euros, while the President of the Republic announced 10,000 euros. "Paul's initiative is declaring the greatness of our champion's soul and Olympian. It is a program that Paul has no obligation to do, has already been recognized not only in our country but also internationally, and chooses to exploit this recognition through a difficult, everyday, hard work to help athletes of. And that really shows Paul's character, "Mr Nikos Christodoulides said in his address.

The event was also attended by Pavlos Kontidis coach Jozo Jakelic, athletes of Jonathan Vadnai and Filip Jurisic with whom he is preparing, as well as athletes who participated in the previous #Towardsparis program, such as Marilena Makri.

A total of 13 athletes and athletes were supported in the two previous cycles of the program. Now, along with the third round of the program, the Olympian has decided to support younger athletes with the horizon of the Brisbane Olympic Games in 2032, noting that the announcements will follow.
