The Water Museum of EOA Limassol invites young men and women of Secondary and Technical Education to participate in the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2026 international competition, which aims to highlight proposals for improving the quality and management of water.
As the national organizer of the event, which has been organized in Sweden since 1995, the Water Museum of EOA Limassol reports that the competition is announced with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and with the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Cyprus.
"The competition is aimed at young people of secondary and technical education, between 15 and 20 years old, who are preparing works aimed at improving water quality, better management of water resources, the cultivation of water consciousness, the treatment of drinking water and wastewater, as well as social parameters related to water", he adds.
The winning team of the national competition, he adds, which will consist of 1 or 2 students, together with their responsible teacher, will travel to Stockholm, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered by the Water Museum.
The tender announcement has already been posted on the EOA Limassol website, with the last date for submission of preliminary expressions of interest being Friday 14 November 2025 and the last date for submission of works being Friday 27 March 2026.
The best candidates will make their oral presentations before the jury on Saturday, April 25, 2026, while on the same day, in a special ceremony, the winning team that will represent Cyprus in the international competition in Stockholm will be announced.
