Israel launched new attacks against missile launchers in Iran. Earlier the Israeli military announced that it struck dozens of meetings of high-ranking Iranian officials in Tehran this morning in a surprise attack it carried out jointly with the United States.
Among the targets were Iran's supreme religious leader, Ali Khamenei, and the country's President, Masoud Pezheskian. Reports from international agencies state that according to Israeli sources, the Iranian Defense Minister and the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards have been killed in the attack.
Iranian media announced that fifty-one people were killed in Israeli airstrikes against a school. Iran's Foreign Ministry has warned that it will respond strongly to the strikes launched by Israel and the United States. In a statement, he emphasizes that Iran has done everything necessary to avoid war and adds that Tehran, as it was ready to negotiate, is ready to defend the Iranian nation.
Iran launched a missile attack against Israel, while at the same time there were explosions in Persian Gulf countries such as Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Because of the attacks by Iran, Israel has banned public gatherings, locked down schools and workplaces, and moved hospital patients to underground facilities. Defense Minister Israel Katz declared a state of emergency across the country warning of Iranian missile and drone strikes.
