On September 2, registration for adult training courses from the Ministry of Education began. You can register until September 30. Classes will begin in the second half of October.
Adult education courses are the largest training program in the country. They are intended for all residents of Cyprus over the age of 15 years. Lessons are usually held in Greek. The course consists of 25 lessons per year, once a week, 90 minutes each. Meetings usually take place in the evenings on the school premises (students are informed of the exact time and location before classes begin).
About 25,000 people attend courses annually.
You can register for courses using the link. In order for classes to begin in a particular subject, the group must have at least nine (in villages) or 11 (in cities) people.
The tuition fee for any full course is 55 euros. In villages with a population of less than 500 people there is a reduced cost of 27.5 euros. For students born before October 31, 1959, the course fee is 13.75 euros.
Educational courses for adults have been operating since 1960. At first they were aimed only at rural residents. In 1974, the program began to expand to cities.
