Cyprus qualified for the first time in the high jump final

Cypriot athlete Elena Kulichenko qualified for the finals of the high jump competition. Thanks to her success, the country found itself in the final competition of this sport for the first time.

Kulichenko cleared 1.92 m on her first attempt, finishing in seventh place. The final will take place on the evening of August 4th. It will be broadcast by the RIC TV channel, starting at 20:55 Cyprus time.

Another Cypriot athlete, Turkish Cypriot Buse Savashkan, competing for Turkey, took eighth place with the same result, 1.92 meters.
