Cyprus is actively preparing for the FIBA ​​European Basketball Championship 2025

The renovation of the Spyros Kyprianou Arena in Limassol continues actively in preparation for the FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025 European Basketball Championship, which will take place next summer. 

Work began in August 2024 and includes replacing old structures, installing new emergency exits, replacing flooring and upgrading changing rooms. A&A Apostolidis, which won the tender, is responsible for the renovation.

Cyprus will be one of four countries hosting FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025. Limassol will host 15 Group C matches involving six countries, including the national teams of Cyprus and Greece. The renovated arena will become a modern facility, ready for sporting events throughout the year.

Tickets for EuroBasket 2025 matches are now available. Tickets are sold exclusively online at more.com and each person will be allowed to purchase a maximum of six tickets. Cypriot fans will need to present a fan card for purchase, while foreign residents will need a passport or ID number.
