The Ministry of Health of TRSK published an official press release about the death of the famous performer Volkan Konak. The chief physician of the Gazimagush State Hospital revealed the details of the tragic event.
According to the agency, on March 30, 2025, at about 23:23, the center of emergency call 112 received a message that the artist became ill during the concert at the hotel. The ambulance team promptly arrived at the place where the doctors who provided first aid were already. Within 40 minutes, they carried out cardiac intensive care, after which the patient was intubated and transported to the hospital at 00:10.
At 00:17, Konak entered the intensive care unit, where the team of doctors continued intensive care for 25 minutes, but the body did not follow. Given the previous diseases, at 00:42 doctors recorded the death of the artist.
“Despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to save him. We express condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the Konak Volkan, ”the statement said.
Konak was born on February 27, 1967 and during his career made a significant contribution to the development of Turkish folk music. His song “Cerrahpaşa” became a real hit, and the Mora album released in 2006 was awarded the gold award of the Turkish Association of Musical Producers (Mü-Yap).
