Israel's Security Council approved the cease-fire agreement in Lebanon, which is expected to enter into force tomorrow.
In his televised speech, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that after tonight's development, all the residents of northern Israel will return to their homes.
He emphasized, at the same time, that Israel has achieved significant blows against Hezbollah and has driven the Lebanese Islamist organization "back decades".
At the same time, he conveyed that if Hezbollah violates the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army will attack it fiercely.
Netanyahu noted that Israel is now focusing on the "Iranian threat", emphasizing, at the same time, that the Israeli leadership remains committed to the release of all hostages still held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdullah Bou Habib, announced that the Prime Minister of Israel and the Lebanese government had reached a ceasefire agreement.
Speaking to the Italian Rai, he had stated that the ratification of the agreement by Israel's Security Council was expected.
For its part, Hezbollah hastened to state that it will remain active after the end of the war with Israel.
