Israel: President Herzog did not listen to Trump to pardon Netanyahu on criminal charges

Israel's president, Isaac Herzog, appears to be resisting the US president's call for him to pardon Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is facing criminal charges for corruption.

  In an interview with Politico, Herzog assured that he values ​​the friendship and opinion of President Trump, reminding - however - that Israel is a sovereign state and its judicial system is independent and must be treated with respect.
