The President of the Republic expresses satisfaction with the informal meeting of the European Council in a written statement in relation to the need to strengthen the defense of the Member States of the European Union.
President Christodoulides characterizes the decision to immediately proceed with the Commission immediately in the preparations for the fiscal aspect of the issue as well as the issues of strengthening and pushing the European Defense Industry.
The President of the Republic says that the Republic of Cyprus is ready to take on the role it attributed to it, adding that the recent decisions to expand Andreas Papandreou and the upgrading of the Naval Base Evangelos.
