Twenty -one renowned artists unite their creative powers to visualize the experiences of women suffering from endometriosis, a condition that affects millions of women worldwide.
The exhibition "Endometriosis Meets Art: The Yellow Ribbon Unwind", which is part of the Endomarch 2025 campaign events is presented to the public on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 18:00, in the vestibule of the "Anastasios G. Leventis" Council Council building.
The exhibition is an artistic narrative that reveals, moves, concerns and invites the public to a dialogue of art, body and emotions.
Painting, sculpture, installations and mixed media becomes a decoding tools for an invisible struggle. Through their works, artists bring to light the physical, mental and social dimensions of the disease that often remains in the shadow.
The 21 artists participating: Abraham Pigodontis, Andreas Stylianou, Athina Antoniadou, Alexandros Giorkatzis, Antonis Tziaridis, Aphrodite Avraamidou, Daphne Arvanitis, Dimitris Agou Michela Psara, Miriam Mac Connon, Nikolas Markantonis, Paris Sergiou, Stella Isa, Tzouli Michael, Tonia Theodorou.
The exhibition will be honored with their presence by the Minister of Health and Rector of the University of Cyprus, while Dr. Andreas Stavroulis President of Endomarch Cyprus will share valuable information about endometriosis with the public. The artist Katerina Stavrou will present the rationale for the exhibition and Eleni Koumbarou will accompany the evening with classic masterpieces on the piano.
An exhibition that turns art into a means of waking up. Because inspiration and creation can become a bridge between invisible reality and awareness.
