Forestry department, volunteers reaffirm cooperation on fire prevention

Fire prevention and the role of volunteer groups in tackling forest fires were key topics discussed during a meeting between the forestry department and voluntary firefighting teams, reaffirming their ongoing cooperation.

The forestry department stressed the value of support provided by voluntary firefighters, particularly in patrolling, monitoring, and assisting with fire suppression.

The volunteer groups noted that those involved in responding to forest fires have received specific training and are deployed strictly under the instructions of the forestry department.
