Announcement by the head of humanitarian issues of missing and trapped Anna Aristotelous for a rent allowance to re -established students, stated that the recommendation was made recently by her office to Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, who responded to the Students.
"These young people, despite their difficulties and deprivation, choose to study in higher education institutions in the free areas, refusing to be deprived of the right to university education. This decision once again proves and emphasizes the dedication of the government to the support of these new people."

He recalled that the occupation regime restricts the possibility of employing their families exclusively in agri -livestock farming, which makes family incomes particularly low. At the same time, the allowance of trapped or re -established on its own is not sufficient to meet their needs.
The recent decision of the President of the Republic to extend the student allowance to re -established students is a substantial measure of enhancing the possibility of studying and supporting their families living under extremely difficult conditions, he says, adding that as the number of trapped measures are reduced.
Our primary goal, he said, "remains essential support and the creation of incentives for staying and resettlement in our occupied villages".
