On Sunday, May 4, during the day the police arrested two people in the case of the murder of 45-year-old Yannis Argir, whose body was found with multiple stab wounds in the Neapolis area.
According to police, the body of a man was discovered at about 9:35 am in a closed garage of an apartment building where he lived. Argir was found by his mother, concerned that she could not contact her son since the evening of Saturday.
As a result of the investigative measures, the individuals of the two suspects were identified. On the same day, a 52-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were detained, whose involvement is now being checked in a crime.
According to the results of the autopsy carried out by state pathologists, Angeliki Petett and Orthodox Orthodox, death occurred as a result of wounds inflicted by a sharp cutting object. The deceased recorded numerous injuries, including in the neck.
The head of the criminal investigation department of Limassol Lefteris Kiriac, speaking at the scene, confirmed that death occurred as a result of criminal actions. He also noted that the victim was known to law enforcement agencies and lived in a house belonging to his family.
It is expected that on Monday morning the detainees will be taken to the Limsol court to consider a preventive measure.
