Specifically, Mr. Karagiorgis said that "the planning for the implementation of the platform and the timeline we set is implemented, as we have designed it".
He said that on March 4, the prices of 478 products included in the e-kalathi will be aired in real time, daily, and the consumer will be able to detect prices at any time, wherever he is, within 24 hours.
"The goal is to give a tool to the consumer, which will provide transparency to prices, can compare prices and make his choices, depending on his financial capabilities," he added.
The Director of the Ministry of Education said that the pilot phase served its purpose and purpose, that is, as he explained, "to put supermarkets on the platform, to put their data live and to have virtual consumers who can The system operates to see possible weaknesses or even practical use issues that would work in the best and more user -friendly use of part of consumers. "

He said that with the completion of the pilot phase, tomorrow, "the system will close, additional variations will be made to improve the platform even further and surrender to consumers on March 4, as it should be delivered."
He also said that the pilot phase involved all the supermarkets of the Pancyprian that amount to about 22 entities and added that there were "some technical interconnection problems (with the platform) from some small supermarkets", which have been resolved.
How to use a platform
Referring to the way the consumer is used by the e-kalathi platform, Mr Karagiorgis told the CPC that the platform has many functions so that the consumer was available to "many choices".
In particular, he said that the consumer can see the prices of 478 products from the cheapest to the most expensive, he can choose the area to compare prices and can choose the supermarkets he wants to compare.
He also said that the consumer "in any case, he will be able to choose the products he wants to put in his basket and have a comparison of the price of these products per supermarket".
