Two passengers on a Manchester-Paphos flight who behaved inappropriately on board the plane have been given suspended four-month prison sentences. The decision was made by the Paphos District Court.
On August 26, crew members of a plane flying from Manchester to Paphos complained to the police about two passengers, a 50-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman. During the flight, they drank alcohol, which they brought on board, and smoked electronic cigarettes. The crew members made comments to them, but in response they heard only swearing.
The violators were detained and taken to the Paphos District Court, where they pleaded guilty to committing an administrative violation. They were sentenced to a suspended sentence of four months.
