Horizontal issues of common interest and specifically the issues of Automatic Price Indexation (ATA) and the ongoing tax reform were discussed on Monday, in a joint meeting, by the organizations of state employees PASYDY, OELMEK, POED, OLTEK and the Associations of the Police, the Fire Brigade and the of the Cyprus Army, at the PASYDY offices.
According to a PASYDY announcement, through a constructive and meaningful discussion, the organizations unanimously decided that for both issues they will follow a common and unified policy within the framework of the principles they have co-formed.
It is noted that in the context of their meeting, the organizations also expressed their strong opposition to the unilateral abolition by the Parliament of the supplementary medical care that is not provided by the NHS to active and retired civil servants, demanding that the Government proceed with the necessary actions for the immediate restoration of this right.
