The eight-day detention order was renewed for three of the suspects aged 58, 30 and 31, in the case of the murder of businessman Stavros Demosthenos, on October 17, in Limassol.
The lawyers of the 58-year-old and 30-year-old, argued that there is no new evidence to justify the continuation of detention and asked the court that their clients be released. Their request, however, was denied.
Regarding the third suspect, aged 31, who appears to have actively participated in the murder, his lawyer did not object to his detention. In addition, he appears to have been the person who ordered the fake number plates, which were fitted to the stolen saloon car.
In a previous procedure, the 44-year-old former footballer and the expatriate, 51, who were detained for the same case, were released.
The court decided that in the absence of substantial testimony, there is no justification for renewing their detention.
