The President of the Republic departs for Madrid in the afternoon as part of his visits abroad, in view of the chairmanship of the Council of the European Union from the Republic of Cyprus in the first half of 2026.
Tomorrow the President of the Republic will meet with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and then with King Felipe, with whom he will then take a meal.
In the afternoon, the President of the Republic will depart from Madrid for Lisbon, where he will meet with Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, followed by extensive talks between the two countries' delegations.
At the end of the talks, the President of the Republic will depart for Valencia to attend the meeting of the European People's Party.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Deputy Minister for European issues Marilena Rauna, the director of the Press Office of President Victor Papadopoulos, and officials.
