About 100 Cypriots are waiting for information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cypriot Embassy in Beirut to repatriate from a country that is now very dangerous to be in.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Theodoros Gotsis, there are 1,000 Cypriots registered on the Connect2cy platform who have asked for help.
On Tuesday, October 1, Cypriot Defense Minister Vassilis Palmas asked the Greek government to send the C-130 to Lebanon and free the Cypriots stranded there.
Theodoros Gotzis also reminded that Cypriots wishing to return to Cyprus should contact the Cypriot Embassy in Beirut or register their details on the platform
