Yeast International Student Film Festival - Open call

The Department of Fine Arts of Cyprus University of Technology in collaboration with the Department of Communication & Media Studies and Limassol Cinema Club, organizes the 2nd International Student Short Film Festival: Yeast Int'l Student Film Festival, aiming to promote independent filmmaking in a student context, through screening short student films from around the world.

The three-day festival will be hosted this year at the premises of the Department of Fine Arts, at Rialto Theater and Synergeio Theater, in Limassol on the 6th-8th of February 2025.

The festival announces the Open Call for film submissions in one of the following four genres: Fiction, Animation, Documentary and Experimental Cinema, and/or in a fifth special category under the thematic "Urban Transformations".

The Yeast Int'l Student Film Festival this year is looking for short films, which must:

have been produced during the student years (undergraduate or postgraduate program) of the director and/or producer. have been completed from January 2022 onwards. be less than 20 minutes.

The deadline for submission is 20th of January 2025, until the final program will be announced by the end of the month.

The festival wishes to create a vibrant micro-world of filmmaking enthusiasts and artists, in and around the university premises, the city of Limassol and the wider world.
