Fire in an apartment building in Limassol - Two people were trapped on the balcony

A fire broke out in an apartment building in Limassol, prompting the authorities to mobilize. It is noted that due to the fire, two persons were trapped on the balcony of the apartment.

According to the spokesperson of the Fire Service, the fire broke out in an apartment building on the fourth floor, while two people were trapped on the balcony. Three fire engines, including a telescopic boom truck, rushed to the scene.

The fire in the apartment is in full progress and spreading, while it was entered by members of the Fire Department using breathing apparatus and water hose installations. The members of the Fire Service rescued the two persons with the telescopic arm truck and they were transported by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital. Members of the Fire Department also found a small dog inside the apartment, which was rescued.

An ambulance and police rushed to the scene. The District Manager of Limassol was also involved in the incident.
