Police investigations showed arson in relation to the fire that broke out in a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a house in Engomi, while extensive damage was caused to both the car and the interior of the house.

According to the Fire Service Spokesman, Andreas Ketti, around 19:10 the Nicosia Fire Station responded with two staffed fire engines to a fire that broke out in a private vehicle in Engomi.

The vehicle, as he reported, was parked in the parking lot of a house, while the fire caused extensive damage to both the vehicle and the parking lot. At the same time, the house was also affected internally by the smoke.
