With the aim of raising awareness and mobilizing society, to improve the quality of life of people living with diabetes, as well as to promote their overall well-being, the Ministry of Health celebrates World Diabetes Day 2024, which is celebrated every year on November 14 .
In its announcement, on the occasion of this year's World Diabetes Day 2024 under the title "Let's talk about how we achieve a better life for people with diabetes, contributing to their well-being", the Ministry of Health states that diabetes is a chronic condition that affects millions people on a global level, making the integrated approach necessary to deal with it.
He notes that this year's celebration is focused on enhancing the well-being of people with diabetes, in order to help them live better and healthier lives.
“Physical, mental and social well-being is fundamental to diabetes management. We focus on the importance of community and social solidarity and on the promotion of healthy habits by reinforcing proper nutrition in our lives, physical activity, which are key elements for managing diabetes and preventing its complications", states the competent Ministry.
In the context of World Diabetes Day, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the OAU and the University of Cyprus, will hold on December 11, 2024 a conference on the topic of educating parents of children with type 1 (one) diabetes.
The conference will focus on new diabetes management technologies.
